A music video for Blacksona's ethereal track, Looking On. The song prominently features static and fluctuating harmonics—generally undesired properties of audio. Conversely, they are used to create a warm, textured nostalgia. The video accentuates this concept by exploiting similarly unwanted characteristics found in analog video signals. Video images are constructed using electrical energy and the variance of voltage. By exploiting these pulses of energy, layered and brooding analog visuals were produced using obsolete and modified video technology from the '90s. The video signals were intentionally corrupted to travel beneath the surface of the intended functionality of technology. Abnormalities are not suppressed and, instead, used as primary qualities to synthesize color, texture, and movement.
